DESCRIPTION:
Now in their 29th year of performing\, Pink Martini was founded by bandleader and pianist Thomas M. Lauderdale in 1994 to deliver beautiful and inclusive performance at fundraisers and galas for progressive causes\, with style inspired by Latin\, big band\, classical and the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her friend from Lauderdale from their time at Harvard\, China Forbes\, soon moved to Portland to become lead singer\, and they released their album "Sympathique" in 1997. Soon this "little orchestra" was touring the world with a dozen musicians\, singing their culturally inclusive music in over 20 languages\, and performing at legendary venues such as Carnegie Hall\, Royal Albert Hall\, Sydney Opera House and the Hollywood Bowl. The band has released nine studio albums and numerous side projects on their own label\, Heinz Records\, and are proud to call it the House of Oregon

DESCRIPTION:The Franklin Electric is the reflection of emotions on a woven web of indie-rock\, folk and alternative. Founded and directed by Jon Matte\, the Montreal collective stands out by transforming experiences into anthems. Since emerging in 2014 with their debut album This Is How I Let You Down\, The Franklin Electric have performed over 400 shows in a dozen countries\, sharing the stage with a host of artists including Mumford &\; Sons\, Ben Howard\, Edward Sharpe or even City and Color. Along the way\, the album Blue Ceilings (2017) marks a milestone in the collective's career. Not only does this opus give birth to essentials such as I Know the Feeling and Someone Just Like You\, but it also leads to a nomination at the 2018 edition of the Juno Awards in Vancouver in the category "Breakthrough Group of the Year". On this occasion\, Jon Matte finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration in the mountains and landscapes of British Columbia to write the songs that will take place on the EP In Your Head which was released in the summer of 2019. Prolific\, the singer-songwriter continues in 2020 with the releases of the EPs In Your Heart and Never Look Back before returning to the album in the fall of 2021 with This Time I See It.
