About Jazz & Blues Festival

Our mission is to bring memorable moments of jazz, blues, and other musical genres to thousands of fans by inviting renowned artists from across Canada and the world to five days of exciting activities.

This year, more than 150 artists will be offering breathtaking performances to thousands of spectators at 14 different venues. The objective of the program committee, which keeps a constant eye on world music news, is to always present the most popular artists available at the time of our event. That’s why we regularly welcome nominated artists and winners of the most prestigious galas across the country (Grammys, Juno Awards, ADISQ, LYS blues, Maple Blues Awards, etc.).

The intimacy of most of our venues offers fans a direct contact with the various groups and musicians on the program. Our objectives include enabling young emerging musicians to interact with professional artists through our Place aux jeunes activities, and giving our local jazz and blues musicians the opportunity to perform in a professional setting. But most importantly, we want to provide fans with unique and unforgettable musical sensations through a quality and world-class program. This is how we are committed to the cultural development of our region and help promote Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean across the country and even beyond.
